The main responsibilities include:
To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).
▪ Support all staff and engage in and promote a strong team ethos.
▪ To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day to day caring and early learning needs.
▪ To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of all children as individuals, having an awareness of any disabilities, family culture and medical histories.
Required experience and qualifications:
Experience working with children
Ability to communicate well with adults and children.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Training for a child care qualification is available for the right candidate
Good organisational skills, time management.
Ability, flexibility and willingness to take on other responsibilities or duties as deemed necessary.
The following are also highly desirable:
An Early Years Qualification, Level 2 or 3
Knowledge of child development and the EYFS
This is a part-time role, working a variable number of hours each week term-time only - salary dependent upon qualifications and experience. There is the possibility for the right candidate to join our team of keyworkers, having responsibility for specific children within the setting.
