About Us
Overton Preschool Playgroup is an outstanding early years’ education provider, and have been at the heart of the village of Overton for 40 years. We care for children from two upwards in two settings, a Playgroup at the Community Centre, and a Preschool within Overton Primary School site dedicated to children in their preschool year.

Overton Preschool Playgroup is an outstanding early years’ education provider, and have been at the heart of the village of Overton for 40 years. We care for children from two upwards in two settings, a Playgroup at the Community Centre, and a Preschool within Overton Primary School site dedicated to children in their preschool year. Both settings include well equipped outdoor space which is used throughout the year in a free-flow environment.

We are a charity, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and we are run by a voluntary parent management committee. We are passionate about providing quality care and education to local children through a team of professionally qualified and experience staff. We’re OFSTED registered and are a member of the Preschool Learning Alliance, a leading educational charity that provides support and training for preschools.
What makes Overton Playgroup outstanding?
We're delighted that Ofsted visited Overton Playgroup in September 2022 and have once again rated the setting as Outstanding in all areas.
This means that both of our settings have the same high rating, as Overton Preschool is also rated by Ofsted as Outstanding.
